Everyone makes mistakes… But are they forgivable when they’re
made by the people in charge of a multi-million budget movie? How can these embarrassing
blunders happen when there’s a team of professional film editors working on
cutting room floor? Below are the 5 most baffling cinematic errors that took us
out of the viewing experience:
Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
Nothing screams evil and intimidating like hitting your head on your way to capture some rebels. This hilarious mistake has become deeply entrenched in Star Wars lore. Even George Lucas has acknowledged it and in 2002's "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, he had Jango Fett bump his head in the same way as a running gag.
No wonder Storm Troopers aren't taken seriously...
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
I guess cowboys count as pirates now? In the film's final scene, a crew member with a big cowboy hat can be see behind Jack Sparrow's shoulder as he commands, "on deck, you scabrous dogs.
Braveheart
Braveheart somehow became "Back to the Future" when several white cars appeared in the background of a battle scene.
Gladiator
In one of several mistakes in the film, audiences can clearly see a tank on one of the fallen chariots from the battle of Carthage.
Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets
In the second installment of the Harry Potter film franchise, a cameraman can be seen kneeling down next to the students during the dueling lesson scene. Nothing takes the magic out of Harry Potter more than regular civilian filming a bunch of kids.

Bonus:
Game of Thrones Season 8
| While GOT is a TV series, it’s budget is certainly comparable to most big budget films today. With so many fan expectations and all the hype surrounding the final season, just HOW did a Starbucks cup manage to make it into the final cut?? Was it an honest mistake or did the creators just not care anymore and accept a big fat Starbucks check in exchange for a product placement? Probably the latter given how awful the last season was (yes I'm still bitter). |
